This research aims to explore views of quality of life in people with learning disabilities and dementia.
These views will inform the development of a quality of life measurement tool for people with learning disabilities and dementia.
The study is looking to recruit:
- Past or current family/paid carers of people with learning disabilities and dementia from any geographical area.
- People with learning disabilities with suspected or early stages of dementia residing in the London or Kent areas.
Family/paid carers will participate in an online focus group discussing what are the important aspects of quality of life for people with learning disabilities and dementia. This will last a maximum of two hours.
People with learning disabilities and suspected/early dementia will participate in person interviews. The interview will ask different areas of their life such as health and their friends/family. This will last a maximum of 45 minutes.
